Default Does anyone know about boilers??

Recently bought a house, not actually living there yet, but i went in today to find a fair bit of water underneath the boiler, i has been switched off for 2 days so though it quite strange....i had a look around and its coming from inside the boiler??

And now the bloody thing won't even turn on, it tries but to no avail

Any ideas????

Think you'd need a Corgi approved person to look at it for you Kim.

Two things that imediately spring to mind if its trying to light...

1. Has the gas been switched off, as you dont live in the property?
2. Is the fan (flue dilution) running when the boiler goes through its cycle?

normally on ideal boilers when you power them up and it wont work it will flash up a code on display, then refer to handbook and look for that code under fault finding

You deffo need a gas fitter because Isars suffer with leaks and faulty control boards which only a skilled engineer can sort

Same boiler in my house and ive had so many probs with it
