Had the boiler on with heating and hot water and my brother turned the power off to the sockets at teh consumer box, which turned teh boiler off too. When he turned power back on it immediately tripped off again and we traced it to the boiler as the device responsible.

Now when the boiler's turned on the power just trips out immediately at teh consumer box.

ANybody got any ideas what's going on?

Sounds like an electrical short - best to get it properly checked to be honest - electrical probs can be simple to fix, but can be quite serious if improperly diagnosed...

i am a heating engineer and it would be almost imposible to tell what could be wrong from here !!!
it shouldnt take too long to for an engineer (with a bit of grey matter) to sort it though...careful not all engineers are honest they'll spin you a yarn...and charge you a fortune!!

It say's something like glowworm and british gas on it, if that means anything to anyone...
