how much power can a new STG1 FRST T2 produce? and ex mani?
Hi,
at the moment i'm using a T25 on my TT, but they are tooooo laggy, due to the design, (i mean 15 psi @ 3500 rpm), and it seems to be a issue on all TT T25's, as i've tuned a few now from std spec to 200 bhp and all have similar Boost/rpm. also the TT ex mani is being restrictive above 180 bhp, and stops power @ 195 -200 bhp on my spec.
and i've even tuned a T3 TT xr2, and that was 600 rpm less laggy. But the problem is i haven't got the space to fit a T3, a my Rad and inter setup cant be move'd forward, and nor do i want to.
So i've been offered a T2, fully rebuilt to stg1 spec with 360 bearing.
What BHP can this make @ what boost?
And also what power is the Std FRST ex mani good for, as thinkin of trying a pulser T28 on one,
Cheers Danny

not sure what bhp it will make, but a stage 1 t2 will do 20ish maybe bit more psi without blowing to bits....
and will be as quick to spin up as a standard one...

Cheers,
do you know what sort of power the turbo and mani can flow?
my T25 is rated to 240bhp by universal turbo's, and will hit and hold 23 psi to 6500 rpm, and would do more if i changed the actuator.

my old FRST made 228bhp on a hybrid T2 @18psi,with a bit of headwork mind.
i don't think much more could be had though, and it lacked top end pull tbh,but mid range and spool up was great

What "stage" hybrid was it.
I have so many people come to me saying they want a stage 5 and 6, which in reality is impossible.
Anyway, I'm just curious.

Wouldn't think a turbo of that size will be able to produce the volume of air at 20psi to be of any use. My sold stock T2 used to run out of puff when the revs got to about 5k.

my T25, even tho pulls 23+ psi to 6500rpm, peaks after 5500, but never knew if it was the engine or the turbo.
Next option, T3 with a sabb ex housing, as been told it fits on a xr2 with std rad positioning.
