Default blagging some prizes for my charity raffle, ideas needed

Hi
I am organising a children in need event, and am trying to sort a raffle out as well, basically the event is a 11-a-side footie match against a club of football coaches who train kiddies, we hopefully have a 3000 seat ground and conference ref already sorted, now for the raffle, i have emailed Argos trying to blag some prizes, has anyone done anything like this and can give me some ideas of placs to try? cos on my list i only have starbucks and some resturants, so need a bit of inspiration
cheers

What mag company you emailed...

Also try some small local shops round the area.. They are usually very good at supporting the local teams

Local newspaper do anything?

The one I work for does this for a local radio stations Operation Santa and offers editing the paper for a day. Could be worth looking at, they could even edit the piece on the game.

Supermarkets? Tesco? They have half year profits of Ł1.1 billion, surely they could donate something if you talk to head office?

Could even try the old bill, they might do something for you too.

If it were me I wouldn't go directly to the Footy Clubs, I would try and contact particular agents for some of the footy stars (ie - Becks / Gerrard etc etc). The agents are going to be likely to be more interested in a bit of cheap marketing for the players. Beckham has done loads of things like this i believe.

Even give companies like Jessops a call... You'd be suprised how many companies would like a bit of free advertisment...
