Default ACS School Cobham car display event Sunday just gone

Trying something a little different this year and concentrating on off the cuff and sporadic events. Leaving the main shows alone, don’t have the money to throw at it tbh, anyway learned about this event on Saturday just gone and was there on the Sunday morning

charity organised event with all proceeds being donated to the Princess Alice Hospice over in Surrey, specialising in end of life care so a great cause

they raised a fantastic amount from donation's from all those who attended so well done, the tickets were priced at £10 per car proper toys on display

Looks a great event that and like you say for a great cause, these events are far more enjoyable as you see some great motors up close, I attend the breakfast meet in Ockham just down the road from Cobham thats always well attended each month, I only do 2 big shows each year nowadays that is Ford only, Ford Nationals at Gaydon & Simply Ford Beaulieu due to great atmosphere and no willy waving and cars of all ages

The Cobham event I’ve not attended tbh as iirc it falls on the 2nd Sunday of the month which clashes with the Focus rsoc Surrey meet which I attended where possible

this event early June looks good hotels are charging £111 for one night so I contacted them and asked if camping was available? Not had a response unfortunately, not that I’ve got any camping left in me these days

http://www.middlewickhouseopengarden.com/

weather permitting it’ll be a case of the early drive up on either day that you intend on going, quite a few of the focus rsoc faithful are going on Sunday and some staying over Saturday night only other show for me this year will be RS Combe, anniversary year for the MK2 frs so the parade lap is always great to get out on (carefully) same conditions as Middlewick house though if it’s not guaranteed wall to wall sunshine or at least dry I’m staying home

Did a couple of "field" shows last year, multiple makes and no brand bashing.

Enjoyed them far more than the couple of rs shows I went to, nice to see a variety.

I recently took my Saff to a local car meet at Exbury , a small village near where I live in the New Forest and it was a great turn out of cars and motor bikes of all ages. Anyone can come in any vehicle so there was a big variety to look at.I think these type of local shows are growing in popularity and everyone was very friendly. Simply Ford at Beaulieu will be coming up soon which is always a good one for me as like the one at exbury a 15min drive from my house!!

Like Jimmy I find the local gathering and breakfasts meets way better than mainstream events like ford fair and the like, such a diverse array of cars you may have never seen and can appreciate them all, I bought a ticket for Simply Ford my only worrie tbh mate is its in prime time August a lot later than usual and could be roasting
