Default Simply Ford at Beaulieu.

It was certainly a "hot" show at Simply Ford Beaulieu yesterday!! Temperature was around 30c . Quite a good mix of cars from a 1960s Ford Zephyr up to new Mustangs. There were plenty of Mk1Escorts , 3 Lotus Cortina's, Capri 2.8s, RS turbo's, RS2000's etc for Classic lovers and plenty of much newer Focus RS, ST ,Fiesta ST etc. More new Mustangs this year and a few 60s models. I had plenty of people interested in my Saff and had some good chats with various people. All up considering how hot it was I thought it was a good show. Bonus for me it is only a 10 minute drive from home!!

Stunning XR4i it looked brand new!

A very well built Mk2 Rally rep Escort.

Neat engine bay.

Another nice Mk2 Escort.

Nice XR3i

Classic Lotus Cortina.MK1

Mk2 Lotus Cortina

60s Mk2 Zephyr

Capri 2.8i

Nice standard 3 door.

Stunning RS500.

Another nice 3 door.

Big power Saff.

Big power Escos

Well known ELE monster!!

800+ BHP!!!!

Plenty of new Mustangs this year.

Classic Mustang.

Were you there with your Saff? I did see a few others. Mine was on the hardstanding central part next to 2 F100 pick up trucks.

Was there as well with my Saff and the blue MK4 Escort Cabby over on the grass in the sun in the individual entrant area.

was definitely warm, Mustang a couple of cars down was showing 33 deg temperature on his dash.

Some nice cars but the club stand area was very sparse and spread out.

I have just had a new Centre push hydraulic clutch system fitted by Julian Godfrey and was very impressed with their work. I cannot imagine what your car must be like with all that power, my Saff is only 450bhp and to add another 380bhp to it would be mental!!!

There were more new Mustangs at the show than I have ever seen before at previous shows. I think the fact that you can get them with right hand drive now has made a big difference to the increase in sales. When you are right up close to them they are a bigger car than I realised. A proper stonking great supercharged V8 is still hard to beat and so is that V8 exhaust note!!! No comparison to the new so called electric Mustang YUK !!

A friend of mine used to have one. He took me out in it one night. Foook me it flew. It would of easily beat the cossie in a straight line. It also handled well too. I was expecting the back end to step out but it was ok.

Hes sold it now and has bought a MG miget ha ha..

Yeh honestly ha ha ha. He used to have a miget when he first past his test so he bought another one. He also has a Escort S2 RS turbo. He has had this for years and its been it bits most of the time he has owned it.
