I was told about them being illegal and got the ball rolling to recieve all my statements. after adding it up nat west owe me £1375 in charges. I claimed it back and they replied by saying the charges are fair and they offered me a Cheque for £113 as a guesture of good will. Is this not addmitting the charges aint fair? I dont want this, i want £1375. that would be ideal for me. I dunno what to do, any ideas. Would it cost to see a finacial advisor of someone proper like that.

Hi, go to www.consumercorner.co.uk/forum there is a letter for you to send, only thing you would get out of a financial advisor is a smaller wallet
this is the letter
http://consumercorner.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=50.0
you will be getting a nice 8% interest on top of that as well.

Sent the first letter off last week and had a reply through the post today. They've returned my cheque and are sending all statements requested FOC.
They put some stuff about manual intervention that goes "the bank doesn't hold the information requested in a form that would be covered by the DPA etc etc etc" what ever that may mean. But hey-ho, it's a start....
I take it that I now tot up the amount that has been charged and send the second letter off?

www.consumercorner.co.uk have all the upto date letters and write them specifically for you as well.
we will also help ou claim against any company where you have cancelled a contract and been charged the remaining term.
eg. mobile contract for 12 months you cancel after 6 and they still bil you for the remaining 6.
it goes much deeper than just bank charges

Hi just thought i would let everyone know that a member has just won over £9,000 today through the small claims track,
this would have normally gone through fast track but we tested the courts and won it through the small claims. They still didnt get to court but the result is in our favour.
you can read about it in the forum at
www.consumercorner.co.uk

Don't think it'll just be "ten minutes on the pc" - 6 months later I've just got my court date, which isn't until the end of December (8 months after I started my claim).
It IS worth doing because it's YOUR money that they have taken from you UNLAWFULLY.
Stick it up them I say!
Neil.
