Default High idle on 2wd any ideas?

Recently fitted a new wiring loom to my car, 2wd with l8 ecu, for some reason it now idles at 3400 rpm, i turned the screw but cant get it below 1500rpm with the idle control disconnected, with the idle re connected it goes back up to 4000rpm. There are no obvious air leaks, iv set the throttle position sensor and changed the idle control valve any ideas?

Throttle position sensor wired back to front. Switch the outer 2 wires on the plug.
Either that or an air leak. Easiest way to test is spray some easy start or brake cleaner around all the joints/vacuum pipework off the inlet manifold whilst it's idling. If there is a leak the revs will pick up as it sucks the easy start in.
