Default Help please...cold start problem

This has only just started recently but from cold the engine wont fire at all, 2nd turn on the key and it will fire but run like shit and die, third turn and it will run and tick over ok....HELP.

Have you tried using a little throttle whilst starting to see if this makes any difference I.E if it's an idle problem, it may be worth checking the CTS output.

Any throttle on the first two turns and it wont make any differance, i have changed the cts ad that was my first thought.

I doubt it's anything serious like that as you would notice other symptoms the same as a blown HG such as losing coolant "Mayonnaise" etc, I had the very problem in that thread myself.

I would check the ignition system, leads, plugs etc and battery are in good condition, does it turn over as normal? A cold engine is much harder to start then a running temp one and so the electrical system needs to be in good order.

No signs ofwater lose or mixing with oil, we check the electrics but all was new a year ago with coilpack conversion. Also has had new plugs last week.

Did it do it before you changed the plugs????and what plugs you put in there???

steve have you tried your coolant temp sensor ,i think it may control your cold start
