Dual Mass Flywheel Problem
Would love some advice please.
While on holiday the dual mass flywheel went. The cost of repair was £900 and it came with a 2 year warranty. Now i've noticed the same symptoms again including the starter motor has had to be replaced. Problem is the garage is 200 miles away and he said on the phone its possible they would have to keep the car 2 weeks and there's a chance the warranty wont pay out.
Any advice would be really welcome as i haven't got a clue what to do.

Can you not ask if you could have the car inspected by a local garage and then they send them a report as it is obviously putting you out to even suggest that the car needs to go back to them? Who is to cover the cost in fuel down time with work commitments etc if it does prove that the part is faulty?

They may not have cleaned the starter out. I'd do that and see if it makes a difference. I'd also document EVERYTHING you do with the garage and be prepared to take it legal. If their repair has failed then THEY'RE liable for the repair, nothing to do with the warranty - as long as they supplied and fitted the parts.
