Default Gearbox Help for ZT.

Hi, i've recently bought a 2.0 zetec turbo engine with a focus rs bottom end mapped to around 265bhp, but i've not got the gearbox with it.
Am i right in thinking i need to use an MTX 75 box with an uprated diff to take the power and torque or are any of you using an uprated BC box etc?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers Jono.

At that power I'd either go MTX if you can (custom shafts, mounts, inner wing butchery), or if you dont fancy that then drop a low milage IB5 in (essentially a Stage 2 CTS BC box with no LSD).

Cheers guys, i'm sorry i'm new to all this , you've probably been asked loads of times before.
The focus rs box is an MTX box with a diff in isn't it?
Can i modify my hubs and use the focus rs driveshafts aswell, also do i need an extra mount welding onto my inner wing?

Cheers Jono.

yes you need to use a new mount welded onto the inner wing which crazycage does to make life easy and you'll need custom drive shafts making with mtx inners and escort outers how you go about that is your choice and yes the frs box is an mtx box with a quaife atb
