Default difference between zetec and cvh manifold

guys how much difference is the between the gaps between the ports and port sizes on the two manifolds...

as i keep seeing realy nice manifolds for zetec turbos and focus rs's and was think , people mod rs turbo manifolds to fit zetecs and could you not reverse that and put a cvh flange on a decent zetec of frs manifold.

the bolt holes are much wider on the zetec ones, as for port size, the zetec ones are much more oblong than the more rounded cvh ones, im sure if you spoke to Mike at ferriday engineering he could supply you with a reverse adaptor plate.

that could work but would it still make a good difference say compared to a jamsport one...

i only ask as the ones you can get for a frs mk1 are wicked and would look great on a cvh with custom inlet

would probably only look great, im sure they are more than capable in the power stakes, but then a standard rst cast manifold is very good too. What do you currently run?

cool, just i cant see whats wrong with standard one, they flow up to and over 300bhp mate, and are good and reliable. If i was getting an aftermarket, i would get one that puts the turbo over the gearbox, as space is a premium at the front, plus it looks well col lol

Probably none unless it was restrictive in the first place, will aid spool up though.

I'm tempted to get one just to see how much difference it makes, but it's a bit of an expensive test when I dont really need one lol

Gary have you got any pics of your CVH ones, cant remember what they look like mate!

Ah cheers yeah!
Do you just have to rotate the exhaust housing on the turbo for it to fit?

looks like you are right mate as the front half is still in normal postion to connect the oil pipes and the boost pipe.

ive been told that you need to shorten the bottom boost pipe and oil return , but i need to shorten the boost pipe on mine anyway to fit the t34.
