Default what power through EFI rst inlet

what the max power you can push through them with a 1.6 rst ?

and is there any difference to a rst efi inlet and a 1.4 cvh inlet other than throttle body ?

cheers jim

let me know nearer the time and i will send one down no harm in testing it at that power purely as a back to back

the cossie inlet is miles off a cvh head, so have to make an adaptor plate. then rotate the elbow, making another plate for elbow and the TB ends up sitting up near the air box.

ive just taken mine off to replace it with one of our inlet plenums. no reason just wanted one. cossie inlet stood up to the job.

ive got pics somewere, will post them up later.

My ZT16v had 380bhp using a T4 with greys and an EFi manifold from a CVH. This flows very well and was designed by fords to be better than the MFi manifold which had different length and size ports. Meaning that the end clyinders 1 + 4 would always be unequal. I have not reached the limit of the EFi manifold yet. I doubt i will be able to, without getting much higher power figures which my engine will not be able to produce without spending money on head work and cams etc. At the mo it is totaly std and cost £125. The engine rebuild with steel rods and pistons cost £940. Inlet cost £30. The most expensive part was the turbo and intercooler.

So there is no need for any bent and welded sheets of alloy (Expensive ones at that) to be thrown on to my engine and be called an inlet manifold.

no it's fine got a cossy tb on it and then an 90 elbow to face intercooler and for the price compared to others (several people wanted best part of 500 for full inlet) i'm well chuffed as the lad who designed this also designed several others for well known tuners

hi jim i think the cvh efi on a mid tuned engine is about 300bhpmax @ 20psi , mine ran a rs1800 inlet on my first zetec turbo running very similar power , like you said if ypour engines not all about power then it will probably be fine , however if you add a well designed zero loss inlet then throottle response would be vastly improved upon, i would say buy a area six zero loss inlet as this inlet has many hours of flow bench testing and is provern on many high powered cars , may cost £750 but you will be well pleased when you see one , a work of art , plus he uses your old mans dyno so iam sure he could sort you a decent price out.

cheers paul
