Default cant figure this out (handling)

hello everyone i hav mk4 rst cab,wen im driving along an dip the clutch to change gear, the car slightly feels like it has a lil play in it n goes left to right on steering wheel very slightly n quickly wen im in a straight line, any ideas people cheeRs

is it big bhp? does it torque steer at all, if you accelerate hard an have to fight the steering a bit then let the power off to change gear it could throw it about a bit

or maybe a badly knackered engine mount, ive known this one before on a fiesta rst with 200+ bhp, cus of the torque as soon as he let the power off the engine moved badly an threw the car about a little

lose bolt of your ARB? That is what my problem was!

cheers 4 replys,

it does it when kroozin off boost and on, i am thinkin a engine mount now u said that, because i had to change the cradle due to it splitting on the front n twisting slightly, and i drive it a while off boost like it wiv same problem, i changed cradle yesterday thinking it would cure it but still the same,

what is a arb bolt?

shall i try rockin my engine back n forth with my hands on the mfi inlet to see if it has any play on the mounts?

The bolts on the end of your anti roll bar on the front. When it is lose on one side of your can is slides over your anti roll bar. It's the bolt on the middel of your track control arm!


Check them mate! I had the same with going on and off boost!

could also be a bit of wear in 1 of the inner track control arm bushes

cheers peeps, i changed passenger bush 2 weeks ago, didnt do drivers so gna do it weekend, gna check arp bolt before i go buy a bush just incase
