Default how bout this for a 1.6cvh????

just a rough idea of what im thinking of running in my 88ERST.a little bit different from what everyone elso does i think.not sure how itl go down.and people i no i will not need some of the parts but i dont wanna risk all my hard work for a part i should have replaced.also id like to know what sort of power ppl think it could make.also im not a fan of massive turbos before u say stick a hybrid t3 on it.

1.6cvh
bmc cda air filter
uprated head gasket
farndon con rods
accralite forged pistons low comp
ARP con rod stud&nut kit
ARP head bolts
kent cvh34 cam and adjustable vernier pulley
stage 3 big valve head.enlarged in/ex outlet etc
s/s exhaust manifold
3" s/s downpipe and exhaust system
T25 Ball bearing turbo and appropriate actuator
dump valve
crankcase breather
all samcos
alloy rad + intercooler+fans
bosch 0542 Fuel pump + sytec mini bullet filter
header tank/swirl pot/catch tank
braided hoses+fuel lines
lightened flywheel
heavy duty clutch
cts rebuilt and strengthened g/box inc quaife diff

the cars already chipped so was thinking of getting a mf2 fifth injector

but i no it would be better with omex/gotech etc
probably forgot a few things but thats just a rough idea

was hoping for 200bhp + and a shedload more torque than that. and dont wanna run more than 18psi of boost really.

Good spec mate! Easy 200bhp if your metering unit can fuel for it, or as you say slap a 5th injector in there.

A couple of things i'd do differently...

Standard Ford/Payen head gasket (good for 350bhp proven!) Felpro etc. are a waste of money.
Stage 2 head, a Stage 3 big valve will actually slow you down (laggy) because of the drop in gas velocity caused by having bigger vavles/ports! If you want to go over 240bhp then go big valve.
Newmans Cam & Solid lifters, hydraulic setups are a lottery now a days but feel free to play if you want lol
Low comp pistons, will lose you more off boost power and for your target BHP they are not needed, stick with the stock C/R!
T25 BB, I dont know much about what they can flow but just be sure it can do enough for what you want.

Also what boost you end up running will be determined by the volumetric efficiency of your engine (your head, cam, exhaust, air filter, and turbo effect this) and your target BHP, it's not something you can choose as such (unless you just decide to cap it for what ever reason?!).

Can't really see the point in spending Ł1000's on steel rods, forged pistons, fancy turbo and a bespoke manifold but keep it MFI? I'd be looking at a management upgrade before most of that.

Can't really see how it's any different to what most people do as such mate tbh, turbo choice as you point out probably wouldn't be most peoples choice. 200bhp doesn't sound unachievable as it's a pretty good spec you've got, you'll need to run plenty of boost if you want big torque figures though, and i 100% agree about the management swap...you're really never gonna see the potential without it, stock engine could see 200bhp reliably so almost overkill with your spec for that power imo.

People forget that with EFi conversions, it's not just the fuelling you have precise control over, it's the ignition timing too. So, if you have a live-map with optimised ignition timing, you can see the full potential for the spec and very safely.

Hi all,thanks for your comments guys.basically the way i am looking at it is this.
1.ive only recently got the car
2.the bloke i bought it from ragged the shit out of it constantly
3.need new mounts,going for vibratechs

when i said i wanted 200bhp plus i ment it,i know a standard engine can take 200bhp and my car is not that far of achieving that anyway.BUT i want my engine to be reliable,i dont wanna be scared to put my foot down incase i break something lol.
karlos g IMO i thought standard rods n pistons were only good for 220bhp so if i run 200bhp+ its not going to last very long is it? fair enough bout the low comp pistons i didnt know that,what about mahles forgeds instead?
A few websites ive looked at said standard head gasket needs to be changed @15psi but ur not the only 1 to say theyre ok.
as for management i did mention omex and gotech and that i know it will be better with that on it rather than runnin mfi.at least nobody said i didnt need a new manifold lol i know i dont but i want a s/s one. i want my engine to be able to breathe and flow nicely,s/s no carbon and imo the more it can flow and breathe the better it will perform.didnt think the stage 3 would be too much thought itd be perfect il have to look into it.

Yes change the rods and pistons as they are on their limit at around 220bhp, I just ment dont lower your compression ratio!
Christians car above your last post is running a stock head gasket @ 350bhp mate, 15psi limit couldnt be more wrong!!
