Right then….another decision to make now I have the new car…… (Which Engine)
I’ve decided on the Team Dynamics by the way
Its currently a stage 1 running 15 psi (NMS Chip, K & N, Mongoose) set-up by Karl Norris and the car/engine has only covered 52k. + It chatters like fuck
!!
I also have a GRS to fit before the next set-up.
I also still have the engine out of my old car (1.9 Specialised lump, Piper 285T2, lightly flowed head done around 20k) which was set-up to run 15psi by karl and it was very quick and I've never had any problems with it.
Anyway what I want to know is should I swop the engines over and sell the old 1.6CVH on stick the 1.9 in with the GRS and run around 15 psi again ?
Or...
Shall I sell the 1.9 (I reckon for around £750), fit the GRS and spend the £750 on tuning parts (What is the next stage with this kind of money?). And how will it compare to the 1.9 power wise? (I like the idea of keeping the original engine in the car you see)

You serious...your suggesting i should sell two engines that I own (i.e. about a grands worth) and buy/build a full Zetec motor (i.e. about 3.5 grands worth)
No thanks

With only 52k on it id have thought its a good enough block for a little of Karls magic.
Enjoy your new car, and best of luck whatever you decide

I don't think £1k is gonna go far to a rebuild on the 1.6 (Not that it needs it at this stage).
What I would like to know is how much power car I get reliably from the 1.6 (Stage 1 + GRS as above) + another £1000 ??
And what would that consist of?
Bigger turbo (what?) and a cam?
