has this started after you did something or just appeared out the blue, sounds like you've got a fuel/ignition problem

Turbo doesnt really get a chance to spool up fully in first or second before you hit redline?! So i would say the problem is not gear dependant mate, and the speed you a travelling again should not have anything to do with how your boosting (50mph in 2nd is totally different RPM's to 50mph in 5th for example).

As above, it does sound like a fuel/ignition problem ,either that or your so low on compression because of ring wear it just cant go any faster!! lol!

Again as above, have you changed something or is this out of the blue?
What boost are you running and does it hold that steady?
Whats the spec of your car?
Have you ever had it setup?

its 200bhp@16psi at the wheels, had it on the rollers after changing my stage 3 head for another stage 3 head then booked it on the rollers, the tuner said the power is dying off top end to early and asked me if it was deffo cammed, an the oil light also flickerd, so i left an drive it home, next day oil pump died which killed the turbo by starving it of oil, so new oil pump, new turbo fitted, and now i have the problem above in my 1st post, i dont think its ring wear cuz i hav no smoke at all, an the engine sounds mint ticking over and underload hope this helps! ps. i noticed my dumpvalve is really quiet as well under load

Didn't you post this exact same problem a few days ago and found it to be an incorrectly-adjusted wastegate actuator arm?

Sounds nasty mate, if your turbo died from oil starvation then what are you big ends, mains, and cam like??
