Got Me Cossie Back

Got Me Cossie Back
Well what can i say after buying my first Cossie in July (15 years in waiting) I took the long trip up to Birmingham to Martin's to collect her and bring her home.
This was the first time I had driven a cossie and to be fair the past few months have been nothing but stress with the car and all the problems that have come, like my local ford garage messing the car up and allowing the stereo system to be stolen while there.
Well Martin has worked his magic on the car and gone over the car for me and put the little gremlins to right, and Mike Rainbird has been brilliant in supplying me with the new defi guages and pod along with the new lighting system.
So guys a big thank you for all that you have done in getting the car back to a good standard.
After listening to people have done the following to improve the car.
Removed the silly M3 mirrors from the car and replaced with later spec ones.
Removed Dad's Army Regiment Badges from front bumper and had bumper repainted.
Fitted Martins old RS500 grills from his crashed Escort in to front bumper.
Fitted new style inners to headlamps and replaced front lighting to full H.I.D AND led style sidelights, which is out of this world.
The drive home was amazing and I found myself taking it easy till I got to Birmingham then I had a little play, best one was the guy that had a focus ST, he come up behind me flashing his lights, so i pulled in and he came past at speed, so could not resist and was on his tail, the guy dropped the car down a gear expecting me to be left behind but was there in 5th as he pulled in i came past him like he was stopped, made me grin like a cheshire cat and Im so glad i did not sell the car to buy one.
Well just waiting to finish building me garage and give her some tlc, ready to be garaged for winter.
Not sure what to do next, but will keep you posted.
Regards
Gareth

Kelv Have you got more than the 3 Defi's in yours mate? I really fancy these to be honest but would only want them in the pod, what would be recomended, as i would go for the boost and oil pressure, but not sure on the 3rd guage, the car doesn't do track ect so which would be best for me? cos as you know the original has the volts guage. Cheers Mark.

If (read when) do this, I'd put oil pressure, fuel presure and oil temp in there... - then it'd be Boost, and a wide band AFR in the A pillar, and a secs monitor else where so you can still keep an eye on the voltage...

Yeah that would be good but to be honest mate i'm really not keen on guages in the A pillar, would rather keep it close to original as poss, i know its still changing it but its just sort of the same place and guages ect.

cos im worth it, thats how i was going to have it but its changed now.
ive got the Defi water temp, oil temp, oil presure and exhaust gas temp mounted as the pics below.
then got a pectel monitor in the banana pod and an Apexi boost gauge to go in the pillar pod!
