Default injector question zetec and cvh

right im having some problems getting my car to run on cvh management

now i was told earlier to try the 2.0 zetec injectors as it sounds like its lean on start up so it fires up but cuts out

ive just manage to wedge sum cvh injectors in and it reved its nads off with fuel everywhere i know i shouldnt of done it but i had to try

i want to know what injectors people use for there zetec conversions running cvh management

and is there and equilevent injector for the zetec so its the same a s blue injectors on fiesta

any ideas

or will i have to run the cvh inlet

CVH management will never be 'right' The fuelling & ignition tables are programmed with the 1600cc engine, and fuel etc accordingly. The ECU has no way of knowing your running a 2.0.

What inlet manifold are you running etc?

my zetec turbo recorded 191bhp on un-mapped frst ofab management yesterday so yes it can be done. you need to use frst style injectors and fuel rail to do it right. standard zetec injectors are piss poor pathetic.

What map sensor are you using? The wrong map sensor or wiring at the map sensor would cause this as well. Dont give up yet. Why did you start the project if you needed the car?

And in your above post you said "IT WILL NOT RUN ON CVH MANAGEMENT LIKE YOU WERE TOLD"
Well how come everyone else can.

What cvh ecu do you have? ofab? ofac? or are you trying to use your xr3i ecu?

The only thing this tells me is that its YOU at fault not the management and certaainly not the folk thats trying to tell you how to do it.

its a n/a zetec

so im using my standard xr3i ecu, my engine loom which i have changed to wires round because of sensors in different places

ive had a bracket made up so the throttle body will accepth the standard cvh tps

im using zetec crank sensor as the cvh is to long and got chewed up

and zetec injectors

standard xr map sensor

everything is as it was bar the crank sensor and injecters

i can get the car to fire up on the xr ecu

but it cuts out it wont tick over, this to me is its lean on start up

if i take the map sensor pipe off it will run but obviously at max fuel where its that much black smoke it burns my eye

im sorry if i sounded like im having a dig that it wont run cvh but i cannot find what i need to do

ive got to options now

either have a fuel rail made and some bungs into the zetec inlet so it will allow std cvh injectors

or get someone to wire me and zetec engine loom up

i rekon the 2nd option is the cheapest

as the throttle body to have modified just cost me 200 quid and i hate to see what a fuel rail and adptors cost

Why are standard fuel injectors piss poor pathetic? Surely you can't say that just because they do not have enough flow for turbocharged applications? Or do you say that for a better reason?

The 1.6 EEC-IV ECU without changing the tables, will not be running properly, on anything other than a 1.6cvh simple as. It may be running, but not to the best of it's ability.

You should be able to mod the loom yourself. Use a mondeo ECU. You will get a better running engine and sequential fuel injection too!
