Default ERST ACT's??

What do peoples ACT guages read?

The reason i ask is since i have rebuit me engine (to the same spec it was before) my ACT readings have increased. Before the rebuild i would normally get a maximum of 30deg when on boost for long periods on the motorway. Now when i come on boost the ACT readings increase very quickly and are soon in the high 40s

The only thing i have done is to relocate the charge cooler reservoir to near the air filter as i fitted a strut brace (see pic).....

This ment shortning the feed and return pipes to the reservoir therefore slightly reducing the water capacity of the system.

I am using a R&B Motorsport ACT guage and a Pace charge cooler.

Any ideas?

Last time I took the car out mine didn't climb above 18deg. When the weather is warmer I rarely see anything over 32deg and the water injection has become almost redundant.

youve answered the question yourself! must be the way youve replummed your chargecooler setup and maybe the water isnt circulating properly.

I'm assuming there is a pump to move the water through the cooling system. The ACT's are at Pace interwarmer levels. Is the pump working?

I'm stabbing in the dark here

If you have the grey water pump they are a pig to bleed properly
Check the water flow first- rapid temp rise usually is due to poor/no water flow.

Yeh the pump is working, if i remove the top off the reservoir you can see water entering from the return hose.

All i have done is relocated the reservoir, the hoses are connected up in exactly the same way, just a bit shorter.

Im runnin out of ideas as well

I do have the grey pump ant it was difficult to bleed. The system has been installed with flexible transparent hoses and i can see there are no air bubbles in the system, as i say the water seems to be circulating ok.

Get a good intercooler

Shorter hose - less water? higher temp cant be that much less tho, so ignore that lol
