i had hassle with barclays the other week (and everytime i use the useless jobsworths lol) payed in a cheque and they lost all recognition of it, was hassle getting it back, i went in about 4 times before going mad at them then they found it . just told them i dont care if i dont have a reciept your cctv proves i paid it in if you'd vcr to look and its your responsability to check it and if its not checked and found i shall be making a formal complaint . worked as they phoned me half hour later and had found it

how are they saying you withdrew the money?? if they say on counter then they should be able to provide CCTV evidence and thier own copy of the paperwork and a transaction reference. If they say cashpoint then ask them to provide the cctv and the reciept roll/electronic record. Almost all cashpoints print to a roll/electronic database as a record.

You paid in say, £2k in cash, check your balance, hey presto.

She says do you want a receipt for £2k cash, and you say no.!?!?

She thinks ''fuck me, that's the Chrimbo shoppin sorted'' cash out.

Not sayin that's what happened, and the CCTV should prove it but we had an issue in Tesco the other week where upon getting home and checking the receipt ( other half had already thought the bill was a bit high ) found a swiped item for an £18 skirt.!! We hadn't even walked through the clothing dept.!!!! Luckily when we went back next day customer services just refunded it, but it happens guys, be careful, always get a receipt, and check it.

Might be different at your bank, but why do you have to enter your pin to pay money in?

Maybe the teller got confused and did it as a withdrawal instead of deposit. Hope you get it sorted

Natwest are shocking!! My credit card never arrived first time and the joint account i set up with my partner was never set up. They had lost all details for everything, even though everything went into a prepaid envelope.

So I did the credit card application again and the pin arrived and the direct debit set up arrived but no card. So my mum mentions to bank it hasnt come. I go into a petrol station go to pay for my petrol on my normal account and the card comes up as stolen (even though it is my debit card not my credit card) I had just received my joint account debit card from Halifax (as we went elsewhere to set up our joint account) but I don't know the pin!! Luckily the girl felt sorry for me as she saw my face when she took my card!!! Anyway she let me sign for it! They cancelled the wrong card! Even though I have had that particular debit card since 2007, so how the hell they thought that it had been lost in the post for nearly a year i don't know!

So now I have no Card and no money on me!! I ring up and complain and she says I will get a new card in just over a week!!!! great! then guess what my credit card arrives! but i don't want that cos I have money in my account! end of rant
