FFS!
I only filled up last night - 37 quid, full tank.
I bet our local Morrisons dont do it, they've no competition. No other supermarkets sell petrol here.
Besides, theres talk of a production cut, the arabs clearly arent happy at their reduced profits. They're having to buy cheaper polish for their gold toilet seats these days...

Hell no mate. It's at it's lowest in years!! We should be seeing 90p a litre going by the oil price!
It's got to drop a bit yet!
When the oil prices rocketted before, we were told that fuel prices would rocket too, and they did.
Then oil prices came down alot and fuel only came down by a few %, which is no surprise. Then oil prices climbed again and there were warnings on the news about the fact that the rise in oil prices would result in increasing fuel prices, even though the rise after the fall was still less than before.
Make sense?
That was my point. They are quick to raise prices when oil goes up, but not so quick to bring them down at the same rate when oil prices drop.
I meant countries like America, Australia etc mind you I haven't looked into how much they're paying recently so I ma be wrong.
America is still cheaper, but not by a huge amount, and when you think how much more spread out everything is there, they are probably paying more for an average journey in tax than we are, and thats before you allow for the V8s lol

America not much cheaper?!?!?!?!? Isnt it like $3-$4 a gallon in USA, whereas even at 99.9p here, that makes ours £4.54 a gallon! Thats a MASSIVE difference if you ask me!
AJ, you can't be worried about petrol prices. You've just bought a Ferrari.
TBH the price of it doesn't really bother me too much as the way I see it is if you want a nice car you have to accept all the costs that go with it but what does piss me off arethe rip off tax margins.

Very true, and sadly bugger all anyone can do about it.
Changes in oil prices per the barrel take 6 months to have an effect on the pumps, allegidly.
I concur intirely, simple fact is the oil companies can get away with it since demand is so high.
Well yeah thats just it. The oil companies/fuel companies and the government know they can just do what they want with the price due to the demand like you say. People will always want/need fuel. if it was £2 litre, people would still buy it as we need it to get around.
I await the tree huggers saying get the bus instead, or even worse get the push iron out!
