Well yeah thats just it. The oil companies/fuel companies and the government know they can just do what they want with the price due to the demand like you say. People will always want/need fuel. if it was £2 litre, people would still buy it as we need it to get around.

I await the tree huggers saying get the bus instead, or even worse get the push iron out!
