Default HELP...low boost and fuel smell

Hi

I really need some advice on this..

My mate has a mK2 escort with a simular setup as me.

Greens. T34.etc....330bhp

last night car was running perfect, then this morning he come round and the car stinks of fuel and will only pull 22psi ( was pulling 28 before )

It odd, the fuel pump has alway cavitated slightly as he is running a swirl pot but it has not afected it before.

The car i like night and day does not seem to struggle or splutter just low boost with a petrol smell from arount the pump / filter area.

Really lost with it..

If fuel is restricted will the map sence this and cut the boost.

HELP !!!

I cannot see any fuel leaks

Hi

I have just noticed that when you rev the car the boost gauge does not flick round the the "ZERO" it will stay on the - 0.7 BAR ????

It looks like the engine has been getting VERY hot as well.

Thanks

Hi m8,i had the same problem.
If over heating and not hardly using fuel, its a duff ebay chip in you ecu !
Check you co as when on idle, then bring up the revs in different ways you probly find it leans off to 0 co.
Just get a Co check any where probly show if not its rollers.

Check the fuel pressure and the condition of the regulator as the diaphragm can leak.
