Lots of pro's for resting. You are supposed to have a week off every 6 or so anyhow if you listen to some experts.

I have had a poor December with too much eating and drinking every week so TBH I will be glad to get back into my routine. Next week will be broken, obviously, but I am going to get evetrything in one way or another. Either double up the sessions or go a couple of times a day.

Love it!

Yeah me too but gonna need to burn off all that food and drink. Me and my mate were saying the other day how it's gonna be busy at the gym in jan with all the new years resolution folk hopefully they will only last 2weeks as it's only a small gym and can get packed really quickly.

Will try to get in when they are open. Don't like missing too much time as i feel weak as hell when i go back if i do.

Agree with you there phil on the new years resolution people. In the 3 years of going to the gym its has been murder trying to get on things after the new year

I rarely have weeks off, i feel worse for not going than i do for going tbh!

So over xmas, gym being closed a bit and other stuff going on i still intend to go but probably only 3 times a week, maybe 4, just keep it ticking over.

Why o why do people throw weights on the floor...if you cant rack it, dont lift it.

The gym i used to train in it was an instant ban and you were lucky if thats all you got. Seen some lads get slung out the door on to their araes for it....

Why lads feel it is needed is beyound me..proper cock measuring.

You can't rack a set pair of dumbells though. Ive hardly ever seen anyone place them on the floor gently on the last set even watching pros on the net. Fair enough on your sets leading upto the last one there is no need to chuck the weights down

i dont agree with throwing weights down but if your doing decline with dumbbells and heavy, i mean with 40s and above in each hand u have to throw them down, u got no choice

I get up with 45s on decline without any problems I guess if you have got the mentality of throwing them you don't bother trying. The best I saw with weight throwing and another of my pet hates leaving weights on the floor one person at my last gym did a set threw them and left them did his next set threw them and hit his hand off the weights he thew the set before and broke his fingers lol

Hahaha i would of loved to of seen that there is no way i could ever sit up after doing 40s as i push myself as hard as i can. I only weight 80kg so i could never sit upright afterwards. I basicly fall of the bench as im fucked. Its a steep decline though. Mild decline u can reach the floor still.

Its a good ab workout getting up with the weights from decline lol also you don't want the decline to steep or it will be all triceps and very little chest

More like a lower back wrecker!lol well for me anyway.
Is there any reason u can think of why im crap at normal bench press, and can nearly lift as heavy upper chest. Its doing my head in incline bench is suppose to be hardest but i seem naturally better at that than when i do flat??

Decline is a better angle to target the chest but the more decline you go the more the triceps are used that's why people can lift more on decline. You should only have a very small angle on the decline bench to keep the weight on the pec. Flat bench isn't a very natural position some people just can't get to grips with it stick to dumbbells there better anyway
