eeeerrrrrrr what? lol
That dont make sense to me.
Whats to say the ps4 and xbox one are released on the same day.........they wont.
Hence the same game will have different release dates on both formats......
All i was saying is that game havent been given any info at all regarding release dates for ps4. Thats what they told me anyway.
All it takes is a manufacturing fuck up on either console to push it to a 2014 release date. If they are aiming for eng of oct early nov, all it takes is a hickup then they could have problems as they wouldnt release it in december. They would of missed the xmas window. Therfore would push it back.
It seems like both are racing to push the product out asap.
Only time will tell

When the PS4 is released the same day 30 ps4 games will also be on sale Only for the ps4, As for other titles such as call of duty battlefield metal gear solid i dont know how long after the ps4 is released thay will be ported to it maybe straight away but most probably the same time as the xbox 1 if both consoles are released at the same time.
Sorry it me and the way i write (write without thinking lol)

well Microsoft have won back my vote. All the changes they have made, the quality line up they have with all the exclusives. Every xbox can be a dev kit.
and now every preorder gets a free copy of fifa 14.
easy choice now.

I believe they are already on the third build, and honestly I cant see how they could improve it. No latency, 1080 montiors in the latest build, the same movement tracking hardware they use in missiles. Not sure what else you would want from it.
back to the ps4/xbox debate. This time it looks like sony has dropped a bollock. Didnt show us anything new tonight. Kepkt going on and on about indie games. Im sorry, people would not buy a next gen console for cheapo crappy indie games that will work just as well on current gen.
When you think about it.......there is nothing really new about ps4. its more ps3.5 than ps4. They claim to be the most powerful console in the world, yet Nothing they showed us prooved that. If anything assasins creed looked better on xbox one. The new dash and features could be run on ps3. nothing spectacular. Even the crowd seemed like they were waiting for their cue to clap and even the people on stage were looking in desperation as if to say" your all meant to be clapping now" lol
They won e3 by saying NO DRM. Thats it.
Yeah,microsoft has done some major flip flopping, but at least they had a vision of something different. Which, in time people will see the benefits rather than panic.
Sony are even now trying to copy microsoft by adding tv elements.
Sony blasted out we have over 1 million pre orders......but im sorry, that dont mean shit. Pre orders arent sales.....
THey even got desperate and tried to have another jab saying their poilcies have been consistent unlike others..........yet this time it didnt have the same effect, didnt have anyone roaring and cheering....
sony , you had it in the bag, all you needed was games for your games console, yet a all in one media centre has Better games,loads of exclusives for the major third party games and now chucks in fifa 14 for free with pre orders. Sony will have a real problem now if microsoft still have something in the bag..........

Some manufacturer's of pc games are rolling out patches, if not the mod communities are making them work.
Its just down to the developers of the games to make them compatible as its just a display.
Sony has announced the launch dates for its PlayStation 4 console.
The next-generation games machine will become available in North America on 15 November and Europe on 29 November.

That would be awesome to use with xbox one. Especially if it could be used with kinect 2. Proper vr system. Battlefield with that would be awesome.

Nothing new? didn't you see the remote play? the new interface? and the in game play from games? how much did Microsoft show you? oh and the release date

Do you actually understand the hardware in both machines before calling it crap?
http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/need_f...the_other.html
Which machine do you think they are referring to?
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=657221 -
"On a classical system you have a RAM pool and a VRAM pool that are physically speperated. Copying data from one pool to the other creates latency. The GPU is very good ad hiding latency. What it needs most is high bandwidth. The CPU on the other hand is extremely sensitive to latency. The CPU needs extremely low latency to work efficiently. Copying data from the RAM (CPU) to the VRAM (GPU) creates latency, but that's okay for the GPU. Copying data from RAM (CPU) to VRAM (GPU) and back to the RAM (CPU) creates even more latency. It's too much for the CPU. The copying alone takes longer than the computation wich makes this roundtrip highly ineffective.
Xbox360 and older APUs have a unified RAM. This means that the RAM is no longer physically seperated, but even though it's the same RAM chips, the system still distincts between memory partition for the differenct processors. You still need to copy the data between CPU partition and GPU partition, but this will be much more efficient than copying it between physically seperated pools. But it's still too much latency for a CPU, GPU, CPU roundtrip.
PS4 will have hUMA wich means that you no longer need a distinction between CPU partition and GPU partition. Both processors can use the same pieces of data at the same time. You don't need to copy stuff and this allows for completely new algorithms that utilize CPU and GPU at the same time. This is interesting since a GPU is very strong, but extremely dumb. A CPU is extremely smart, but very weak. Since you can utilize both processors at the same time for a single task you have a system that is extremely smart and extremely strong at the same time.
It will allow for an extreme boost for many, many algorithms and parts of algorithms. On top of that it will allow for completely new classes of algorithms. This is a game changer."
"But that doesn't stop AMD's chief graphics product architect John Gustafson from getting excited about the PS4.
"The PlayStation 4 blew me away," said Gustafson in an interview with o.canada at GDC, adding that he was "conscious about being too positive about it because of course we have other partners that are competing.""
You mentioned no one cheered or roared when slating microsoft for doing so many 180's that everyone felt dizzy?
turn your sound up.
What are these better games you speak of? you call Sony desperate but yet Microsoft have followed on by throwing Fifa in but it's not for all consoles it's for the first day editions ( while stocks last ) this has been done in order to boost sales as they seem to be lacking on the pre-order front.
You did get something right, Sony do have it in the bag and nothing changed after Gamescom either, I'm not really going to slate the Xbox i'm sure it will be a good machine but please don't try to make out Microsoft have been anything but struggling since the PS4 was announced.

Ah yes.... Remote play where you NEED to buy a ps vita... Bargain at another 200 quid.
As for the new dash. Xbox 360 gets a new dash every other year so that's nothing new. Maybe for Sony it is.
Never said ps4 was crap, just said I'm yet to see the proof that it's superior. Figures on paper don't mean nothing. That's just dick measuring..
Yes, I did see octodad.

You're yet to see anything that makes it look superior? that might be because neither is out? but it's pretty obvious to anyone which is going to be the best games console.
Very poor showing so far from Microsoft overall and you can fully see why Mr House is having a field day with it...
* Weaker spec
* Costs more
* Had to go back on the original message / policies
* backlash from media / forums etc
* no release date
* delays in countries already
* Another weak showing at gamescom overall ( most of it done behind closed doors, PC's still being used )
* PC's still being used
I'm not to sure Sony has had any bad press really, they have gone from strength to strength from day 1 and so far no U-turns have had to be made that's mainly due to getting it so right.
anyway back on topic, few more things to look forward to...

Hi there, were Dan and Jessica, Co-Directors of The Chinese Room. Were based in Brighton, on the south coast of the UK. We made a game called Dear Esther for PC last year that was a first-person story-driven exploration and mystery title. It was all about immersion and emotion, rather than having lots of complex gameplay, and was slow and poetic, with a really strong emphasis on the quality of the production music, art, writing, voice-over.
It was one of the breakout indie hits of 2012, gathering up a whole bag of international awards and shifting over three quarters of a million copies. We were left thinking how do you follow that?
Everybodys Gone to the Rapture, our new game, is our attempt to answer that question, and I want to tell you a little about it.
Like Dear Esther, the new game is all about the story. It uses simple gameplay basic exploration of a first-person world so its very friendly to people without a lot of game experience. But its not casual in the classic sense this is a deep and immersive game.
Its all about the end of the world. You play the role of a scientist, trapped in the very second of the apocalypse, and the game is about discovering what has happened. You do this by exploring a large open-world environment, and interacting with the objects, places and people you find to gradually unlock and put together the story.
Theres also a really cool thing you can do which makes the game really different and makes this process of exploring the story something you could only do in a game, but were keeping that secret for now. Expect a reveal about that in due course, but were very excited about it and cant wait to show it off.
When we started making Everybodys Gone to the Rapture, we knew we wanted to make a console title. We also knew that Sony were committed to pushing really interesting indie and experimental work, and figured theyd be into the ideas we were putting together. In a completely idealistic and high risk move, we forgot about the idea of a Plan B, put together a prototype and approached Sony Santa Monica. They were just shipping Journey and Unfinished Swan and we thought wed have a lot in common in terms of ideas about story, gameplay, player experience.
So what can you expect? Well, we can promise you that Everybodys Gone to the Rapture will be powerful and deep, highly immersive and with an absolute focus on your emotional journey through the world. Its non-linear, with a dynamic and adaptive environment, so this is about your story, a really individual experience that breaks away from the on-rails nature of lots of story-driven games into something that you have a visible impact on.
Weve got a brilliant team of developers here, most of whom have come straight from AAA production and have worked on some of the best games to come out of the UK in recent years. As studio heads, its inspiring to look at the talent and experience on the team and more than anything, it makes us confident were making a really great game for you.
Well be introducing them over on the studio blog at http://www.thechineseroom.co.uk/blog over the next few weeks as we really kick into full production, and sharing more information about the game with you here as things develop. For now, we just want to say hello and let you know how unbelievably excited we are to be here, making this thing for you. Its going to be a lot of fun.

Although it is undeniable the ps4 has the superior hardware, in reality I think it makes no difference.
The majority of game devs would just make it for the lowest spec, then port it over to double their market.
Plus for the devs that will, the ps4 might suffer from the same problem as the ps3 where it was too complicated a system for devs to have the time to make the most of it, so games ended up looking better on the 360 because of its simplicity for optimization. (see red dead redemption for example)

The delays arent down to lack of units, its to do with the voice control software for the systems(different languages). How is it a weak showing......Just because they kept it behind closed doors? There have been loads of info given on xbox.
mw ghosts to get its own servers,same as fifa. This is a massive boost. In this age multiplayer is the future. Multplayer was better on xbox live,and now will be much better still.
playstation has a long way to go to rival xbox online.
I've got three mates in the village who have both ps3 and xbox360 and none of us could ever play the ps3 online without major lag or connection drops. Plus the way microsoft handled their game updates was much better. Giving devs a limited size to the updates so you wouldnt ever have to sit starting at an update screen for more than a few minutes.
I remember not having played Gran turismo 5 for a few months then fancying a go on it. Due to the poor psn and size of updates it was 9 hours before I could play it.
I know this is not the case for everyone but when your dealing with country speed internet..

I am actually quite amused by the prats lmao.
Can be quite entertaining listening to the Internet warriors on there.

Developers have already said you will see a difference this time and the PS4 is developer friendly this time unlike the PS3, so will be expecting some awesome titles to come through from the usual's
yeah i understand some of that but....microsoft has taken alot of flack for price, which is what i was getting at. To get the most out of ps4 you need ps vita. Which makes it alot more than xbox. I havent read of any pc's still being used. Most of the stuff im reading (non biased articles) say how well the xbox seems to work. how well kinect does its. Im sorry but just because it appears sony didnt plan on going the drm route too doesnt mean it wasnt planned. Leading up to the big show and tell rumours were flying around that both were going that route. They just let microsoft take the beating,then come out and said the opposite to win the media. Look at what they did with ps3 and cinevia.

It's still rumoured that the SPK for the Xbox is quite abit off, seriously why wouldn't they show the console off, live stream it and give a release date?
Sony hasn't said either way on dedicated servers yet so it's not worth writing them off on this front either.
It's clear to see from pre-orders that people are really behind the PS4 gamespot have said it's currently in favour of the PS4 by about 2:1

Verge: There's a lot of indie developer love at Sony, but you don't seem to have as much of a focus on exclusive titles as Microsoft. Is that perception accurate?
Cerny: I believe an underappreciated aspect of what's going on is that PlayStation 4 is the world's most powerful games console, and I think that is going to become increasingly apparent as time goes by. Even if titles are multi-platform, if the game experience is more responsive or more visually attractive on a certain platform, it definitely does play into the overall success.
Basically confirming what we all expect to happen as well, does anyone disagree with him?
