xbox for me as ive always had one. just cant get the hand of the playstation . had the ps1 ps2 ps3

 

I would definitely not recommend it to any ones kids. Lots of swearing, very very violent with some strong post apocalyptic subject matter. Its nothing like uncharted. Its more a stealth survival horror.

 

Think i'll buy it for myself then

 

Last of us looks great. I tend to get a little bored with them style games though...

 

I've been playing The Last of Us. Reminds me of when Resident Evil was good.

Cutting about an old abandoned museum with a wee poofy flashlight with things jumping out at you. Sweaty palms playing it

And them fuckin Clicker things that hear you moving. Fuckers!!

 

Its been a while since a game enemy has had an impact on me.
I genuinely found myself saying "aahhh sh*t" when I heard a clicker.

 

Completed the last of us in a few days, I was hooked on it, easily the best game I've played in a long time.

I own both PS3 and Xbox360 and really theres not much between them these days other than ps3 is blueray and the xbox360 has the kinectic thats all the normal person would see, With the new gen xbox has closed the gap on the gaming side and both consoles with need monthly or yearly payments and other than the kinectic there the same other than controlls and console fixed games.

So Really all you have to do is pick the controller that feels best in your hands and thats what im going to do.

 

This is the ONLY reason that I have a 360 and not a PS3, just love the 360 controller and hate the PS3 one

I mainly play racing games, and the reason I prefer the Xbox one is because the joystick for steering just feel in a much better position. On the PS one, its too far away and I'm having to stretch my hand to reach it. Looks the same story tbh!

 

Haven't bought a new PS3 game for around a year, since having the gaming PC I've barely picked it up, however I'm very tempted by The Last Of Us. Pretty shit with scary games though, I tend to just drop the controller and walk out of the room

 

It's not that scary, mainly atmospheric.

 

ps4 but in no hurry, the ps3 can soldier on for another year or two lol i only play it a little and usually gt5 anyway lol

 

^^Plus gt6 is a ps3 game so that'll get a bit more life out of your ps3

 

i was in game over the weekend buying a couple of cheap games. When i was at the counter paying, a family next to me was preordering the xbox one console. As that family left the two members of staff had a bit of banter about it. The one serving me was the store manager,and seemed to be disapointed. I said to her i take it your for playstaion. I asked who is selling more.......
she said in that particular store playstaion is in front,but xbox were closing in..... She said they had over 200 pre orders so far for playstaion! That's quite a lot of pre orders for one store....
she then went to say that game hold around 50% of uk market sales for consoles. I asked who was selling more overall.....nationwide

in which she replied xbox by quite a lot...

got to say, i was quite suprised by this. Goes to show the people who talk/moan online are such a small percentage of people who buy consoles.

going by what you read you would think Sony proper have it in the bag... Not quite a landslide after all

 

i was also asked if i wanted to pre order. i told her i wasnt sure what i wanted and that i havent even seen a sign of what games would be available on release day. She told me they have a release day confirmed for xbox but are not allowed to release that info yet but it is in november.then printed me off lists for both consoles to show what games will be available on "day one"when the consoles are launched. there was quite a few for xbox.
as for playstaion,there has been no date given yet which she said was a bit strange,and no games have been given a definative date as of yet.

Just goes to show how people can spend money on something not really knowing what their actually getting...

Microsoft have also just given that nob Don matrick the boot too. Best thing they have done in a long time. He is one of the reason main Microsoft are hated at the moment.

 

I have used both Sony and Microsoft consoles for years now. Been a hardcore gamer for over 15 years now and over that period of time this is what I have learnt.

THE best console for an individual is this... Buy what YOUR friends will be buying. These consoles are designed around social networking with your REAL-LIFE friends or friends you make over games.

It sounds silly and simple but unless you plan on playing this by yourself then the choice for me is based on the Unique titles for each console. Work out what sort of game you enjoy and find what the exclusives are for that console and enjoy.

EA is selling battlefield 4 on the next gens for Ł55. However, they are always a rip off as they want Ł45 for the pc version!

Yep, they will rip off next gen. Current gen prices will stay the same, so its obvious the newer consoles will be stung.

Well thats funny since i know of just 30 ps4 only games plus the games are on both ps3 and xbox 360 at the time bf4 ghost mgs5 ect

These are not good games and thay all have massive fails but because we grew up with them we think there good when there not.

Your right, nothing is concrete and dates do change... but they never get any earlier. If a game date changes it will always be later.

Game are useless anyway. Head office print of those sheets to try and get people to pre-order games because they think they're coming out soon then they can mark that up as predicted sales and keep everyone happy.

I remember my local Game store having 6 "official" release dates for gran turismo 5 over the course of about 2 years.

Its all guesswork at the moment, as neither Microsoft or Sony has given a release date for their consoles.

 

The worst Game coming out on ps3 ps4 xbox 360 xbox 1 consoles is going to be Metal Gear Solid V without a doubt because solely it was designed to work with in the limitations of the xbox 360.

Someone is going to say next no it wont, Well the whole reason Metal Gear Solid 4 never was and never will be relesed on the xbox 360 was because it would take 7 discs and that game came out over 5 years ago, Which in that time games have moved on so either thay have made the game shity (in other words looking worse than mgs4 and much shorter) or thay said fuck it lets just release it and make xbox 360 users have 10 discs which i find unlikely as it would cost them more money.

That dont make sense to me.

Whats to say the ps4 and xbox one are released on the same day.........they wont.

Hence the same game will have different release dates on both formats......
All i was saying is that game havent been given any info at all regarding release dates for ps4. Thats what they told me anyway.

All it takes is a manufacturing fuck up on either console to push it to a 2014 release date. If they are aiming for eng of oct early nov, all it takes is a hickup then they could have problems as they wouldnt release it in december. They would of missed the xmas window. Therfore would push it back.

It seems like both are racing to push the product out asap.

Only time will tell
