When you think about it.......there is nothing really new about ps4. its more ps3.5 than ps4. They claim to be the most powerful console in the world, yet Nothing they showed us prooved that. If anything assasins creed looked better on xbox one. The new dash and features could be run on ps3. nothing spectacular. Even the crowd seemed like they were waiting for their cue to clap and even the people on stage were looking in desperation as if to say" your all meant to be clapping now" lol
They won e3 by saying NO DRM. Thats it.
Yeah, microsoft has done some major flip flopping, but at least they had a vision of something different. Which, in time people will see the benefits rather than panic.
Sony are even now trying to copy microsoft by adding tv elements.
Sony blasted out we have over 1 million pre orders......but im sorry, that dont mean shit. Pre orders arent sales.....
THey even got desperate and tried to have another jab saying their poilcies have been consistent unlike others..........yet this time it didnt have the same effect, didnt have anyone roaring and cheering....
sony , you had it in the bag, all you needed was games for your games console, yet a all in one media centre has Better games, loads of exclusives for the major third party games and now chucks in fifa 14 for free with pre orders. Sony will have a real problem now if microsoft still have something in the bag..........
I don't even know where to begin? you are so far off the mark I'm wondering if you have had a drink?
Nothing new? didn't you see the remote play? the new interface? and the in game play from games? how much did Microsoft show you? oh and the release date
Do you actually understand the hardware in both machines before calling it crap?

Which machine do you think they are referring to?

"On a classical system you have a RAM pool and a VRAM pool that are physically speperated. Copying data from one pool to the other creates latency. The GPU is very good ad hiding latency. What it needs most is high bandwidth. The CPU on the other hand is extremely sensitive to latency. The CPU needs extremely low latency to work efficiently. Copying data from the RAM (CPU) to the VRAM (GPU) creates latency, but that's okay for the GPU. Copying data from RAM (CPU) to VRAM (GPU) and back to the RAM (CPU) creates even more latency. It's too much for the CPU. The copying alone takes longer than the computation wich makes this roundtrip highly ineffective.
Xbox360 and older APUs have a unified RAM. This means that the RAM is no longer physically seperated, but even though it's the same RAM chips, the system still distincts between memory partition for the differenct processors. You still need to copy the data between CPU partition and GPU partition, but this will be much more efficient than copying it between physically seperated pools. But it's still too much latency for a CPU, GPU, CPU roundtrip.
PS4 will have hUMA wich means that you no longer need a distinction between CPU partition and GPU partition. Both processors can use the same pieces of data at the same time. You don't need to copy stuff and this allows for completely new algorithms that utilize CPU and GPU at the same time. This is interesting since a GPU is very strong, but extremely dumb. A CPU is extremely smart, but very weak. Since you can utilize both processors at the same time for a single task you have a system that is extremely smart and extremely strong at the same time.
It will allow for an extreme boost for many, many algorithms and parts of algorithms. On top of that it will allow for completely new classes of algorithms. This is a game changer."
"But that doesn't stop AMD's chief graphics product architect John Gustafson from getting excited about the PS4.
"The PlayStation 4 blew me away," said Gustafson in an interview with
o.canada at GDC, adding that he was "conscious about being too positive about it because of course we have other partners that are competing.""
You mentioned no one cheered or roared when slating microsoft for doing so many 180's that everyone felt dizzy?
turn your sound up.
What are these better games you speak of? you call Sony desperate but yet Microsoft have followed on by throwing Fifa in but it's not for all consoles it's for the first day editions ( while stocks last ) this has been done in order to boost sales as they seem to be lacking on the pre-order front.
You did get something right, Sony do have it in the bag and nothing changed after Gamescom either, I'm not really going to slate the Xbox i'm sure it will be a good machine but please don't try to make out Microsoft have been anything but struggling since the PS4 was announced.

Finally I will leave you with this, it's what next gen is all about
