Would someone on this thread be willing to test one to destruction to confirm suitability?

if your not in a rush, i could pop up in a few weeks and you can take the ones off my car to measure if you want. They were about 3 or 4mm thick IIRC with a washer under where the strut top bolt goes to spread load. Not sure what technique was used in lay up, but the underneath is typical of something that had a traditional peel-ply on it during moulding.

I think Phil at carbon delight have the moulds for the boot roof and bonnet. Not sure about the doors though, Can't really see many of them selling so could end up very expensive as the moulding would have to be incorporated into the price if we were to do it unless a group buy was initiated

Phil's carbon stuff is very good and decently price and with the fact the ford market is dwindling we see it as no point in making molds for the sake of it to compete in a small market ! although we would if asked to and the demand was there

I want some carbon stuff on my Focus, but don't want it to be too OTT and obvious, in true spirit of keeping it understated

But what though?

Quality mate, but I'm gonna steer clear on the exterior bits and focus mainly on the inside and engine bay. Keep everything stock on the outside

Sorry peeps,

the cossie stuff has defo not gone to shit, just had a lot of other composite commitments as well as setting up new products for the new year which have had to take priority for the mo, The final heatshield will be done ready for Monday for the sporn of fox to give his expert opinion on.

I also have a gearstick surround ready to mould for anyone interested, could really do with a list of peeps interested in the heatshield and gaiter surround.

Jimbo has kindly given me a pair of mirror covers which one has been already moulded so some progress there.

will have to see how the gear stick surround turns out first to determin final price, heatshields should be around £59.99, this is due to the amount of work gone into it, the finished items will be to a very high standard, a bit over the top for the actual product but will be a good example of the level of work we produce.

@ Jim - sporn makes you sound like a superhero or something lol

I'd have a turbo heatshield of some sort, not like the original. Best give you some measurements Raj
