Default lowering fiesta mk3 60mm

Anyone had any bad experiences lowering their fiesta this much?. I'm running 15's (195-45-r15) at the moment and plan to buy a g-max suspension kit. Also are there much handerling differences, steering whise after the drop?
cheers, Russ

I had a fiesta turbo on an 80mm drop running 17s, it handled really well, never had any issues at all.

I had a MK3 XR2i, that ws lowered 60mm on the same size wheels and tyres as you have.

It handles really well but due to the shorter harder shocks you feel a lot of the bumps in the road and your CD player suffers as well

personally i would save the funds a little longer and look out for a set of avo coilovers.if you pick them up cheap enough you can even send them to avo and they will FULLY refurb them for £120!!!!!! Thats what my mate done. He dropped his car approx 100mm! the wheels did not rub and it was a lovely ride as they are fully adjustable. Its The only way i would go mate........

I know. its too low for most but looks spot on and handles like a go kart. at the end of the day you get what you pay for.if you do go 60mm,try and get adjustable dampers and soften it up a little if it feels too harsh!!!job doe

mines been lowered 60mm, it looks loooow, but maybe a lil to low looks like 80mm or so. it used to run 17" azev's aswell

handles like a good one tho.

Might get some 40mm springs from somewhere or near that.

Mines lowered 35mm all round on g-max running 195/45/15's - had to get a set of spacers (5mm) on the front but thats because the offset of the alloys was out slightly.

I know of a few people running 15's and a 60mm drop at the back with no problems apart from the usual slight arch scrubbage over bumps etc. Don't know what the score is at the front thought - IMO 35mm at the front is really the max you should go - im already having problems with garages to take to car for the MOT as theres not enough clearance for the ramps

i havent had a fiesta lowered yet but i know that a safe limit would be no more than 35mm unless you want to be bouncing up and down in your seat

dropping your car 60mm on 15's is fine.

it will effect your cd player like someone already said because every little hold u hit you really do feel it, and if you have a front splitter on or a low bumper take it real slow on speed bumps

get the tracking re-sorted.if this dont cure the problem, you will have to fit adjustable tca's.these are a bit pricy but worth every penny cos if set up correctly, will cure the torque steer that your fezzy was blessed with from birth!!
