Default rst starting problem when hot

please help coz this gets embarasing i can drive the car fine but if i stop the car and turn off the engine then come back to start it a couple of minutes later it wont turn over properly i have to leave it for about 20 mins or so before it will start again.
id like a bit of info because this used to happen on one of my old 3is is it something with the cvh's or their starter motors or something else

starter go to ford and get the heatshield then you wont have anymore problems

as above that is if ford still do them someone told me they don't but i bought one about 2 years ago dunno about now?

i asked ford a few months ago n they sed it was a discontinued part, n they like rocking horse shit 2nd hand!!!

if sum1 provides and accurate finis code, im sure ford mite b able to make sure there arent any left in stock, most ford places just tel u they dnt do it anymore to save themselves the hassle of findin it on teh computer

Why not fit heat wrap on the starter motor and down pipe??Easy,job done!! Regards Micky

current drain/starter, just fit another relay down near the starter, with a new feed to it direct from battery, sorted, had exactly the same on my oldS2, did that job done/...

I should add, you will find it you short the wires across on the starter, it will crank even if it doesnt on the key
