Your better off taking the parts from a 2.0L Mondy engine.
The simplest way is too swap the cams, throttle body and I believe the ECU. Not 100% sure if it will run ok without a re-map but it's probably best to get that done. With a bit of luck you may pick one up off ebay thats been chipped for a few extra horses and increased driveability.

As for where to get them -
ebay is a goldmine or just go and check around a few scrapyards.

Just out of interest where are you from?

Cheers

Throttle body and ecu are extremely easy to do just don't forget a new throttle body gasket...
Sensors are really easy too, straight swap items.
As for the cams, don't attempt them yourself if you've only got basic knowledge. I've never done them myself but from what I can gather if the timings out when you've done it can seriously mess things up.

so would it be a waste of time looking for a 2.5 V6 or ST200 or will they also fit my car?...id love to get more than 130 if possible but i would be happy with 130.
Anyone know how much is would cost for a re-map? also how much do you think it would cost to have the cams done in a garage if i supply the parts? and the last question....where do i find my ECU unit?

I appreciate your help.

ecu is prob in pass side foot well same level as glove box pull back carpet why look for 2.5 or st engine if your going to spend that type of money go for turbo conversion should see nice 200+ as for the cams i recon about 2 hrs labour prob at Ł35+p/h best to get new belt on refit though so could go into wee bit money

i was just wondering if the parts would fit thats all....wouldnt it be cheaper to get the parts needed from a scrapper or ebay than to do a turbo conversion? What is involved in a turbo conversion? what would the cost be and how much would i be looking at spending? I would think that st200 or v6 parts would be cheaper if they fit?

but biggest gains doing to b the cams m8 not too hard to do but timing can b tricky if never done b4.

Theres a chance it may be a little more than 130 because the mondy is 150bhp. I'm puttin mondy parts on my 130 to take it up a little. You may see around 135-140 possibly.

If you want more, find an ecu thats been chipped for a few extra horses, thats an easy way.
Just check ebay for uprated parts for your car.

Cheers

the mondy is 136 up to 2000 when it becomes 142....will the 2000/2001 parts fit a 1994 orion engine? A 1991/1993 RS2000 is 150bhp but will the RS2000 parts fit?

gimme a rough idea how much it would be to turbo charge or supercharge....id rather supercharge but a search on google has proved fruitless....going round scrappers tomorrow looking for mondy parts. When it comes to air filters and exhaust and stuff will the escort stuff fit the same?
im gonna be putting a throttle body on from a mondeo so what do you mean buy "1 carbs/Throttle body"? Sorry to sound dumb but id like to get to know more

i ment u could rum it on carbs eg twin48s or throttle body conversion, price wise for turbo just depends on how far and safe you want ure engine to be to turbo charge so far on mine ive spent
1.turbo Ł120
2.injectorsŁ10
3.d-comp plateŁ150
4.grp A fuel pumpŁ50
5.gasket&headboltsŁ60
6.intercoolerŁ50
thats the point i am at now,to buy still
exhaust f/pŁ15
ecu-Ł60
loom-Ł100
mapping200+

most of work is stuff i can do my self like oil return into sump block breathers, just drilling and tapping holes realy you will need more stuff like cluthch etc but this is my build and me doing it,if u want someone to build u engine i think in region of 3k sorry to say m8

In terms of supercharging you want to search the forums.
I believe you can use a supercharger from an Jag, not sure which model. Then you just need the bit's n bobs to fit it. I've read it somewhere on this forum or The Orion Register. I think you're looking at about Ł800 upwards to do it though.

Cheers
