Default Carbs better than fuel injection - Why ???

Just been reading up on naturally aspirated cossie engines, and all that's ever mentionned is using twin 45's or 48's...

I was wondering why these were better than fuel injection really

Thank you.

there not - by a long way there not - just cheaper to buy/setup as a whole fueling package

i hated my 48's - went straight back to injection

ummmm well standard ford fuel injection sucks balls. mine will make more power on carbs than even modified ford fuel inj most likely.

As above, carbs have had their day, the only thing they have going for them is they are a fraction of the cost, compared to throttle bodies and management, and
properly set up they are pretty good,

nothing wrong with carbs for extracting power, there's no reason why carbs won't give the same wide-open-throttle performance as injection if sized and calibrated properly. The injection wins every time in terms of driveability at part-throttle, where the flexibility of mapping available with injection offers much better calibration than carbs can.
If you are buying decent size carbs new, there won't be much gain in price either
