Default sick s2 :/

Hi all this is my first post so bear with me. Been a huge rs fan my whole life had a capri s and xrs over the years so I decided enough of driving a corolla found a 88 escort rst that had been re shelled seemed a good smooth running gear and mint interior make a long story short I bought it yesterday drove it home (100+ miles) and then the oil light started flickering so pulled in checked the level of oil was where it should be there seemed to be no noice coming from oil pump engine temp perfect then half a mile from home it start to knock mid revs so I take it oil pump failed and and f****d my big ends fml 😢what are my options?? I'm in the west of ireland and roughly what will it cost 2 get her back fighting fit any advice appreciated

Roughly the same thing happened to me, £4k later and I've got a 2.0 zetec turbo in and if I was you cut your losses now as I'm just going to replace the head gasket on mine after just 250 miles, 1st rst and the last.

Yes, commonly known as a ZVH. Not as simple as bolting it on though. If you're going to the hassle then you'd be better off with a complete Zetec turbo build.

Get it to a reputable tuner and they'll set you straight.
