Now sick and tired of my boss's petty complaining. Then I got this
And my reply
Eat that you biach!
Hi Stuart
Though I should remind you about forwarding electronic copies of documents to other people in the team/sending people the links to these documents after what happened with the documents for the meeting this morning.
As you know, I have asked you quite a few times to give me drafts of work etc electronically because it makes them 1) easier to correct 2) easier to find if you are absent. I asked you about this specifically on Friday in relation to the documents for the meeting this morning, because I was concerned that in your absence we might not be able to find them. I appreciated your concern for the team’s work in that you came into work today despite being quite unwell, but had you followed my advice you would not have had to come in because we would all have known where the relevant documents had been filed. Remember we are a team and we all work together to get things done.
Hope you can now see why it is best for you and the team if you make your work available more easily. I hope that coming in today didn’t made your throat worse and that you are lots better when you come in next!
Thanks

Again in response, I feel that this is kind of a moot point as all documentation relating to the seminars I was organising were held either on the shared L: drive or Wisdom. I had also made it quite clear to you the location of these documents.
Having these documents on a shared drive saved on multiple copies of the same document floating about in the e-mail system thus saving any ambiguity on which version was the most recent and stopping the need to repeatedly send out e-mails every time an amendment was made.
I felt it was my personal responsibility to ensure that all arrangements were completed as I have seen arrangements for this particular seminar from start to finish. I wanted to come in so I could return home that afternoon in the knowledge that everything was done and I could relax and concentrate on getting better and not worry about weather or not arrangements had been done correctly. While I do not doubt the ability of my colleagues, with the team under such strenuous workloads as it is, I felt it would be out of order and irresponsible of me to expect them to drop everything and pick up my responsibilities at such late notice.
Additionally has the Civil Service not pledged to try and crack down on absenteeism within its ranks? And does not coming in despite feeling "quite unwell” just prove my commitment to the position? I would rather come in sick, do the work I am required and then leave early. While this might make me slightly worse for ware, at least I know the Job required of me has been done and that extra work would not be passed on to my team mates.
And besides if you thought I was THAT sick you could have always just told me to go home.
Thanks
Stu

His email didn't seem that bad if you ask me!! Obviously I don't know your relationship with him but it didn't read in a sarcastic way to me!!

To be honest it seems to me your boss is just making work for all of the team and if he did it the way you have said it would be much less hassel for your work mates, as if you are getting these pointless e-mails then no doubt they are..
And if you were one of my staff i would be very pleased with you conduct and attention to detail
You could come and work for me we have just had a bar put in our snooker room we needsome one to pull the pints
