2wd manifolds are more like four branch manifolds so have better gas flow and bolt straight on. also 2wd flywheels are lighter maybe another wee mod you could think about

if bolting on a 2wd manifold to a 4x4 head, you have nowhere to mount the turbo damper which is necessary to stop the manifold vibrating and breaking studs out of the head. kits available from mike rainbird.

2wd ex. manifolds do flow better but you really have to be chasing 400bhp plus to warrant changing it. 2wd also causes more lag than 4wd.

I've been down this road myself and now I've got a Ł60 manifold sat in the garage because I ended up sticking with 4wd and saved spending extra on the damper!
