Default Cossie:Low fuel pressure effects boost?

Just a general query I have, if for example my fuel pressure was not set correctly, would this effect my boost? I don't recall anywhere how the ECU has any way of calculating fuel pressure.
Trying to diagnose something and just wandered about this.

I dont think the ecu will know unless it goes bang lol , low FP would cause a weak mixture potentionaly melting the engine with no warning . Too much FP could also effect the flow of fuel and cause damage . The ecu would surely pressume all is ok and operate as usual, maybe you would see a drop in boost if some boost is pushing back against the fuel flow .I,d also be interested to know what would happen , interesting post

It dosen't, as you correctly thought the ECU has no input for FP, if you have to little fuel pressure you will simply run lean and melt the engine, it can also cause other damage, as the software is mapped for a certain fuel pressure, i.e 3.5 bar in the case of a standard Cosworth, so if it's not what it should be it won't run correctly at all.

Ideally you want to see alternator voltage UNDER load but it's a 12V device, so long as it dosen't drop below this your ok.

Thanks guys, I was just checking I wasn't having an idiot moment and missing an obvious trick.
Car has a boost issue, won't make more than 12 psi for some resason, and thats with trying a different turbo and actuator aswell.
It has a new engine and intercooler, and this seems to have developed after being put back together. I can't seem to find any boost leaks at all so it's getting to the stage where I need a specialist to take a look at it, I'm pretty good with these things but i am stumped at where the problem is.
