We are having trouble with my dad’s Fiesta RS1800, it seems to be over fuelling the car will start but seems to be choking itself and cuts out, when you turn the ignition on you hear the fuel pump running continously normally you just here it prime its self and then it stops, the last few days when your cruising along and go to put your foot down a little bit you can hear a relay under the dash clicking on and off

Anyone got any ideas

I'd replace the relay first of all and if thats not it then look into lambda and catalytic converter. I had issues with fuelling when I had my 2.0 Si. Changed both the lambda, Ł20 eBay job, and the catalytic converter and the fuelling was spot on

I didnt have any issues with relays clicking or the fuel pump running so would start by replacing the relay
