Default Electronic boost controller help??

Hi I was wondering what side of the amail valve I need to have the boost controller located on. For it to function properly. The side that goes from amail to actuator or turbo to amail? It's just a high boost switch you control from inside.

If you mean the "2 stage boost" mod as some call it (in fact all it is is merely on/off), then you simply cut the earth for the amal which goes back to the ECU and put a switch between.

When the switch is open you will have low boost, but when the switch is closed full boost will be restored.

No I have a controller that is attached to a solenoid that goes between the turbo Nd actuator. You can adjust it inside with a knob and flick it to that high with a aircraft switch. What I need to know is. Where do i put the solenoid in the line. Before or after the amail valve. Or do I need to take it out for the controller to function properly?

But isn't it a safety feature to stop it overboosting? Will the map sensor do the same job incase it overboosts?

Its not a safety feature to stop it overboosting, its basically a standard version of the solonoid you are fitting that is controlled by the ECU. Its the chip that has the overboost protection so thats dependent on what one you are running. The MAP sensor will let the ECU know what boost the car is running so if the chip has overboost protection it doesnt matter what is controlling the boost.

Another thing I was wondering. ( I'm only 16 and learning haha). I want to get a stage 1 closed loop chip from motorsport development. It's going to run 15 for that chip. With my boost controller. Would I save fuel if I ran only like 8 -10 psi as low boost and flick it to high when I want more power. Or would it use the same amount of fuel at low boost as at high as it's ment to run that amount. Or will the ecu reload this and use less fuel?? Thanks heaps
