Turbo'ing a 2l zetec
im currently looking at turbo'ing my 2litre (zetec) fezz
been told i can run a T25 without any internal mods, i beleive its a T3 on ERST? is this a bigger turbo than the T25?
please excuse my ignorance on this subject

what ever way you go you need to mod something, its not just a bolt on a turbo and away you go job.
ERST turbos are thought to be too small for a 2.0 zetec, from what ive read on this your better off with a focus rs gt turbo or one from a cossie.
im waiting till i have the time and the money to do this conversion, as i believe it needs doing right to make things work.
will be a nice project though

Hi there
Ive done several budget zetec turbo conversions, and a few expensive ones! it all depends on the sort of power and money you wish to spend, its entirley feasable to run standard engine and low boost with either a t3 or t25, the main concern is the engine management! you will really need programable management like Megasquirt or similar before you look into doin the conversion, with this management in place you can go about turbocharging, and if more power is needed in future you can look into lower compression, forged pistons, rods, bigger clutch etc!!!
