Let them laugh pall, love those projects.
Building a few myself

Contact Piper Cams, they still have the drawings from old days.
Gains are 10% power & lot more torque

This summer hope to finish same car with T3 turbo from Escort RS Turbo, all coolers from Airtec, custom exhaust, some work on pump & injectors to see 160bhp

After that my Orion Mk1 1.6d is on for a VNT turbo conversion from Focus Mk1 with boost activated vanes for about same result.

Oldskool power with modern technology

Just look @ this bloke from Malta :

You will allways be the laughing stock when you don't act as 95% of mainstream people and dare to be different in getting results.
Don't let that put you down.
I love diesels for their grunt low down & MPG.
Here is a topic of me with some nice results from a 1.5ton Mondeo against big petrol cars, they don't laugh so hard anymore.
https://passionford.com/forum/restor...x-2-2tdci.html
Those car do 35-50MPG all day long, so when on track i fuel up before i leave home, race all day and get home on same tank no problem, try to do that with any petrol car.
When u need advice or anything else, feel free to contact me anytime pall.
You won't be as "fast" as fastests petrols, but how many Hp do u need on twisty roads etc. ?
Any1 can have 500+Bhp, but how many use it

Its hard to get power and economy at the same time.Intercooler would be a good start tho.Put in a little bit of parrfin in with the diesel that will get it going

I did 157mph (251km/h) with it on Satnav on german highway.
Last 7mph take a little while though, but i hit 150 on normal roads regularly.

Petrol is not good mate, try Millers diesel sport
When the Fez is ready, i'll make a guide to follow all steps to get best out of Fuel pump & Turbo.

what mark fiesta have you got?

maybe a bigger turbo could be easier to do than cams, and have more power to?

something like a t3 with .48 exhaust and a roller bearing core would make it come in nice and ear;y - perfect for a diesal
