escort 1998 1.6 remote central locking fitting
i have just brought a universal remote central locking upgrade for my ford escort mk6 1998 i have got it working but it only opens the door and will not lock it i have checked all connections and they all seem fine i have found the lock and unlock wire by testin with 12v testor when they are locked and unlocked then i had my wires am i doing this right
i have a black to earth, a red and yellow to 12v, plus my white lock wire to puple/white wire and other one to white wire whitch have tryed many varations but no luck plzzz help

Sounds like you are doing it right, if the lock pulse is arriving at the remote unit but it's dead it obviously fubar, nothing wrong with the way you are doing the wire testing from your description.
Is there any facility for pulse adjustment on the unit, as some won't detect a very short pulse, some will detect anything.

central locing
its only a basic system only cost 30 pound its has nothing just a box with a load of wires no switches or nothing i just thought it was weird how it will only open but if i switch da wire it will unlock it just wont do both. both of wires gives a strong pulse is their any other way to solve this problem other than buying a dearer central locking upgrade thanks

can any one help me and tell me where to locate the wires to connect to on central locking to connect remote central locking and what colour the wires are for lock and unlock any help will be better than the instructions recieved with actual alarm system
