hi guys i noticed today with the cold weather it took my van ages to start its been serviced but im thinking would the heater plugs being changed be a good idea to stop this cold start problem or is it another problem thats might be casuing this it didnt do it during the summer so im not sure what to do thanks

always best to put a new set in
first check thay are getting power , put a tester on them and start it up, the plugs should live up (12v)and stay on for a minute or so after it starts

How often are you draining the filter head of water ?, this will make it harder to start, as will a dodgy too small a battery.
I know when I had a mk4 escort 1.8D, the battery that was recommended by one battery maker was seriously tiny, and same as a 950 fiesta one, fine in summer, wouldn't even nudge the engine in the winter!!, fitted a mega whoppa battery of 980CCA instead of 330CCA, it spun over then!!
