Default capri electronic ignition ?

can you help guys ? i have 2.0 ltr capri on carbs, can someone tell me how to covert/transplant a 2.8/2.9 into my capri,? can manage engine swap but when it comes to changing carbs to electronic ignition i'm stumped!! any help gratefully accepted, thanks.

Electronic ignition is the same whether you have carbs or not, just use the same ignition stuff off a V6 sierra/capri etc, that's electronic.

Thanks 4 replying tabetha, so from what you said i'll need amp module from doner car, anything else ? wiring loom etc ?

Try and get the whole wiring loom from a 2.8i with amp and and fuel pump relay e.t.c.
Also fuel tank as you will have to fit a fuel return pipe as well.
If you have access to a 2.8i being stripped,just try and get everything attached to the wiring loom.
Shouldn't be to hard then !

Talk to stucapri2.9iTT he will tell you what u need

you will be better off fitting a 2.9efi from a granada
