cvh follower noise ?

Default cvh follower noise ?

put a new set of followers in a 1.6 cvh as old ones where tapping slightly under load the new ones ran at approx 2 thou for twenty mins took on a run and they sound worse than old ones ok at idle but under load ie acceleration they rattle is it possible i have low oil pressure the oil light works as normal and not comming on when rattle stars just a bit confused

Did you fit a new cam? if not then that's your problem

it had noise before swapping followers just not as bad not to bad when cold but worse when hot thats why i was thinking maybe oil pressure prob oil thinner when hot .

Doesnt matter how old/new the tappets are. The cam and tappets wear together (and work harden) so the old cam will have destroyed the new tappets straight away.

As for oil pressure, yes it gets lower when hot, as long as your seeing over 15psi at idle its nothing to worry about

so whys it only make noise under load and not tick over thought it would make noise at idle if knackered and under load with low pressure ? also how can i check oil pressure

did you soak them in oil over night they can take some time to fill.

Get an oil pressure gauge - can be had for Ł25 for a cheapy and t it off the oil pressure switch at the back of the block

You didn't change the cam and followers together, that's your problem.
