hi there just wondering if anyone knows if any other makes of fords have the same door locks and ignition barrel as a mk4 escort / mk2 orion.

guy on ebay selling locks for mk4 escort for 80.00 quid, but seen newer fiesta ones there for 30.00 quid.

Sierra from 1987 to 1990 have the same locks. Post 1990 have no fuel cap lock and the boot lock is different.

1661661 is the finis number for the lockset from Ford as well. Only about Ł50 last time I got a set.

You can also just buy rebuild kits as well for each individual lock and build them to your key number if it is only 1 or maybe 2 locks.

 

Will these be the chubb type keys then ?

 

Nope, Tibbe locks. Chubb locksets were discontinued by Ford years ago (only used for about 18 months in any case until Ford found out that Chubb were selling them to outside sources and dropped them from the production line in accordance with their T&C).

 

good work guys thanks for the info, so are the fiesta ones etc different then as they look similar. all i am really needing is the 2 door locks and ignition barrely to match

 

Fiesta door barrels after 1994 are different to the ones you need.
