i got an Escort RS turbo S2 , and my gearbox has broke. I want to know if Modeo´s gearbox inparts fit in escort RS gearbox, because here, in argentina , there are not RS part, so i need to rebuild my gearbox with other cars parts, and i think Mondeo´s one will fit.. i´ll be waiting for an opinion, thanks..

 

The mondeo box will fit the engine, but you'll have some trouble with the gearchange.
the RST box is a Ford BC gearbos and has been used in all Escorts/Orions/Fiestas... form around 80 to around 95. Surely you can find one such gearbox. When you have found one, you can take your limited slip differential and put it in the new gearbox. Much easier this way.

 

but here in argentina there are not posibilities of fititng a escort/fiesta/or orions gearbox, because this cars doen´t bring the same mechanic than in Europe. so the only gearbox that can be found is the zetec engine ones...

Internally the mondeo box is differant and the parts wont fit.

as said above you need a orion or fiesta box .

 

I know the engine was different, but are you sure about the gearbox as well? Anyhow, what's wrong with the old one? Is it not worth repairing anymore?
