no tacko was reading half cos of the wasted spark on efi n the fuel gauge was always abit iff. but your gauges sound more wire crossed wires when you changed looms was it with a full efi loom or was it cut on the off side so you had to solder the two together?

well i can only assume its been out of an xr3i and the fieta engine management pulgged in after
the gauge has power cos it shoots straight to nil i used another set of mfi clocks and the gauge was at half full plugged it in and it shot down to 0 it didnt fall slowly i mean it shot down and there is 40quid in the tank.my temp guage is fine tho reads well all the time but the petrol aint.i tried pouttin the eart on the tank as apparently this will shoot the clocks up to full but it just spaked alot.im stumped now and have no idea how much fuel is init

you dont earth the tank mate!! to check if the gauge is working ok you get the wire going to the gauge and earth that off and then the gauge should shoot up then come back down when released. Its gota be something to do with how its wired, i converted the gfs car to efi and the fuel gague still works fine with the old mfi clocks and efi clocks!! the temp gauge doesnt work properly as it never seems to get to temp but im hoping thats due to a dodgy stat staying open. Ive got the rev counter problem too thou, even with the efi clocks it doesnt register properly so ive gotta get another set of efi clocks too see if its that or not!!

Check to make sure the sender wire goes from/too the tank/sender ok and you have continuty going to the gague from it too with a multimeter!!
