i have changed the gearbox on my M reg escort due to it being f***ed and i put a S reg in but the thrust bearing shaft is thicker, so i have pyut a new clutch kit in and put my old box back on, but it is slipping, IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT THE CLUTCH PLATE IN THE WRONG WAY ROUND. ?

thanx for your advice, but after all that it was the clutch that was the wrong 1, so i have fitted my old 1 again and a new box and its perfect now
