ow do folks, have got hold of t34 with a 48mm exhaust housing it has a little sideways play in the shaft,i have just had my 3dr dynoed (293 bhp with 300 lbs torque(1-31,greens,rs500 `cooler,mongoose,3bar)) not bad i thought for 96k on the clock,i was advised by the operator to sell my t34 and buy a gt30 instead,i think i will struggle to get an exhaust to fit my yb.
was just wondering if i was better off getting my t34 rebuilt or the gt30 (he said it will spool up quicker and hold the boost better) and who you would reccommend localish to rebuild the t34 if possible ( i`m in north yorkshire)

You would need more than just a GT30...
You'd be getting into new injectors, at least 1 camshaft, a head gasket and a mapping session...
A GT30 is a 450+bhp turbo.
For what it'd cost to upgrade compared to what it'd cost for a turbo rebuild - to me it's a no brainer if you're happy with the way your car drives at the moment!

oh yes i understand i need more than a gt30 for serious power,i fully intend to get all i need for the next step,if i were to keep it on a t34 what would its limit be bearing in mind it is 48mm ,i dont want it too laggy.
as stated i am saving up for the forged internals for the rebuild that the old girl will need.as far as cams go am i right thinking bd10 and bd14??
